In a world increasingly agitated and confused, torn apart by strident and dissonant calls toward unreliable solutions, we have found light and comfort in the three angels' messages of Revelation 14. The Lord, in His great mercy, sent a most precious message to His people. This message was to bring more prominently before the world the uplifted Saviour, the sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.

Why "more prominently"? So they could understand what no other generation of God's people ever understood: The final mission of Christ was to reveal before the world, shrouded in the darkness of misapprehension, the character of the Father.  2000 years from this glorious revelation, the people of God still need to see light in the cross of Christ, that leads to the house of the Bridegroom. They need to know that windows in heaven are open, ready to lighten the lonely children of an ever-compassionate Father.

Coming near humanity gently and delicately, as we saw Him doing in Bethlehem, the message of the righteousness of Christ came to our people in the humble and unpretentious gathering of delegates to the 1888 General Conference Session in Minneapolis. The message was brought by two young searchers for the truth, Alonzo T.Jones and Ellet J.Waggoner.

But they have not received a better welcome than their Master. The bitterness of the opposition speaks itself of the valuable message sent by them. An inspired eyewitness describes the episode as being "cruelty" to the Spirit of God and a new "crucifixion" of Christ, and we can clearly see today that the "prejudices" that prevailed at Minneapolis are not dead by any means. They still bear their unholy fruit, "to poison the judgement, pervert the perceptions and blind the understanding" of those who come in contact with the message or the messengers. The light that has to lighten the earth with the glory of God's character is rejected, but the message of Christ's righteousness is still the only antidote for the troubles of this world, sick of loneliness, fear and despair.

We have found meaning and identity in spreading this good news that our Heavenly Father is not the arbitrary, severe and unforgiving person that His enemies have made Him out to be. He is the Loving Friend described as the one who goes another mile, who turns the other cheek and who "receives sinners."

This site is built in the blessed hope that Jesus Christ will be "brought more prominently before the world" as soon as possible, and the billions on this planet will be able to clearly see the "matchless charms" of Him who is agape.
